Location, Location, Location...

We are excited to share with you the city and area where the Lord has been leading our family to live.  The town is called...
San Carlos de Bariloche - most commonly known simply as "Bariloche." This town is located on the "Cordillera de los Andes" mountain range of Argentina bordering Chile.
Truthfully, we had never considered this town or the surrounding area.  We didn't have complete peace that we should move forward with either of the other two locations and, as proposed by our team, began to consider the possibilities of living in Bariloche.
Before making any plans, Eric contacted key leaders in the Patagonia to ask for wisdom and input.  Our team members presented our decision to the Patagonia Pastors Association at their retreat a few weeks ago.  The group gave us their blessing in moving forward.  It has been truly encouraging to have people's blessing coupled with their excitement to see what the Lord will do.  Praise be to Him!
There is a large concentration of new and old "works" and churches within several hundred mile radius of Bariloche which would allow us to help with training and partnership.  Also, there is a greater possibility for meeting with people who pass through, and for networking from this city than others.  As our travel budgets have suffered greatly this year (and next year is projected to be worse), we have also tried to consider an area (within the vast area of the Patagonia) where we can have contact with many leaders.
Eric has been asked to share at a missions conference held by one of the churches in Bariloche at the end of this month so we have been trying to make arrangements to travel and relocate by then.  Bariloche is roughly a 20 hour drive from Buenos Aires (2.5-3 hour flight).  Of course, we will travel by car. We are also trying to get things rolling so we can order our crate and hopefully, within a few months, find a more permanent house to rent.
We have placed a link below that you can follow to see pictures of this beautiful area of Argentina.  You could also simply "google" Bariloche and see a few pictures of the area.  Please continue praying for us and, if you are reading this, we invite you to write out your prayer, or a verse the Lord brings to mind in the comment section below.  This would be of great encouragement to us.

  2. It is wise to seek the counsel of the national leaders and I encourage you to continue doing so. We look forward to seeing how God will continue using you and the pastors in the Patagonia in reaching the Patagonia people. James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

  3. We pray you remember to find a house built on a rock, not on sand, so it will stand firm. Had I recorded the singing, I'd try to upload it. May He grant you firm-footing in Him in this time of transitions and decisions and give you a well-built, good house to live in that will be just right. We love you!

  5. Dear Lord, Thank you so much for making a clear path for the Stantons & their home base decision. We pray that You will lead them to just the right permanent house that can be used for Your glory in the days to come. Please continue to be their strength in the days ahead as they get settled in their new area. In Jesus' Name Amen.

  7. And, now the most holy week of the year is approaching! The Savior is with you where you serve. "He tends his flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young." Isaiah 40:11 Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:10b" Our prayer for you is that you feel His nearness in a very special way as we celebrate together - The Lord of Lords and the Prince of Peace. Hallelujah! Janice & Dub Suggs
